Like Windows for example. All I can manage is to put it in front, with space between it and the wall, which of course looks very weird XD

Check the drawing tools here: https://rpg-paper-maker.gitbook.io/rpg-paper-maker/essentials/map-editor#4-drawing-tools , the group 3 is for layers, activate it, select fix sprites, and then you'll be able to put sprites on walls!
